1. The Lord Is Our Shepherd – To Feed – Guide – and protect you! – He is Jehovah Jireh – Our provider. He is all that we need and we can rest in the fact that God will take care of us. Nothing gets by him – he knows right where we are and just what we need.
2. The Lord is our Strength and Restoration, When we get tired or weary, God will refresh us, restore us, and give us strength – replenishing all that we have depleted (physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually). God has the power to restore us back to better than we were before.
3. The Lord is our Leader and Guide. He will lead, guide and teach you how to live a holy and righteous life that is pleasing to him. He left his holy word (the bible – better known as basic instructions before leaving earth) to teach us what to do and how to do it, how to act, how to walk, and how to talk. Thank you Lord that you love us so much that you made sure that we have your holy word to equip us into the vessels that you have called us to be.
4. The Lord is Our Protector ( our defender, our bodyguard, our shield, our guardian, and our armor). In 2nd Chronicles 20:15 the scripture tells us that the battle is not ours – it is God’s so we must let him handle it and stay out of it because we will mess it up. Our Creator God is big enough to take care of whatever it is. He knows the day, the hour, the timing, and the season to meet your need – rest in that!
5. The Lord is our Comforter (our security, peace in the middle of our storms, and we can relax, release, and rest) in Him. In Philippians 4:7 (AMP) it states “And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].” See that’s what the Lord our Comforter will do for you!
6. The Lord is always with Us. He is Jehovah Shammah – he will never leave us or forsake us. Although it may feel as though at times we are alone – we are not – he is always there – taking care of his prized possession – Us!
7. The Lord is Good – In Psalm 149:5 (AMP) the scripture states that The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works [the entirety of things created]. He is not just good to a selected group of people – the Lord is Good To All!
8. The Lord is Merciful – In Psalm 103:8 (AMP) the scripture states that The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in compassion and lovingkindness. See the Lord is merciful and tender toward those who don’t deserve it; he is slow to get angry and full of kindness and love.
These are 8 Life Changing Lessons that you need to know coming from the holy scriptures found in Psalm 23: (The Lord is our Shepherd, The Lord Is Our Strength and Restoration, The Lord is our Leader and Guide, The Lord is Our Protector, The Lord Is Our Comforter, The Lord Is Always With Us, The Lord is Good, and The Lord Is Merciful).
